A study carried out by the University of Bristol confirms that it was a meteorite bombardment known as the “terminal bombardment”  that  would have brought  large quantities of gold to Earth four billion years ago.

It was during this last impact event that the gold which we can access in the crust was delivered in a time of our planet’s formation.

During the Big Bang, the collision of large celestial bodies like the Moon led to a release of heat that caused the melting of chemical elements.
